Bamboo Fence Roll Tonkin
Installation
To enjoy your Bamboo Fence Roll Tonkin as long as possible, it is important that it is properly assembled. We recommend installing the Bamboo Fence Roll Tonkin just above the ground. This way, the bamboo fence roll cannot become damp for long periods of time. This is because moisture can cause discolouration and mould on the bamboo fence roll over time.
To attach a Bamboo Fence Roll Tonkin to a fence or wall, first drill 4-mm holes through the bamboo poles. Pre-drilling with a 4-mm drill is recommended here, as bamboo may otherwise crack. Do this every +/- 20 cm and screw down the Bamboo Fence Roll Tonkin with 4 x 40 mm screws. Screw the bamboo fence roll to both the top and bottom for maximum stability. For fixing the Bamboo Fence Roll Tonkin to a wall, dowels are often also used.
If the Bamboo Fence Roll Tonkin is secured to a mesh panel, it is best to do this with tie-wraps or binding threads. These can be tied around the iron wire of the Bamboo Fence Roll Tonkin every +/- 20 cm. Attach the bamboo fence roll both at the top and bottom for maximum stability.

Cut to size
The width of the Bamboo Fence Roll Tonkin can be easily adjusted by cutting the iron wires. While cutting, be sure to cut at least two poles beyond the desired width. Then remove the no longer needed outer poles from the Bamboo Mat Tonkin and bend the steel wires back over.
The height of the Bamboo Fence Roll Tonkin can also be adjusted. In doing so, cut only from the bottom of the bamboo mat and preferably not beyond the steel wires. This would, in fact, the bamboo mat could become less sturdy. When cutting the Bamboo Mat Tonkin use a Japanese Saw. Cover the bamboo sticks with tape on the saw edge before sawing. This way you can avoid splintering the bamboo. Saw quietly and - preferably - by hand.
Bamboo
Features
Sustainable
Bamboo is one of the most underrated raw materials. Bamboo is sustainable, renewable, grows relatively quickly and its natural beauty makes it unique.
Strong
Bamboo is as strong as steel and has greater tensile strength. This is due to the hard surface and parallel fiber bundles of the bamboo stalks that are close together.
Elastic
Bamboo has the advantage of being super elastic. It is so flexible that it returns to the starting position every time and does not deform after bending.
Versatile
Thanks to its high stability, bamboo easily lasts a lifetime. Hence, bamboo is increasingly used in public spaces, construction and as decking/terrace boards and fences.
