Bamboo Renovator is a specially developed UV-resistant stain for outdoor use with a yellow color. This product is suitable for renovating natural-colored bamboo materials such as poles, garden fences, mats and pergolas. It is intended for natural bamboo species only.
If bamboo is left outside, it will gradually lose its original color. This is a natural process. Weathering or graying of bamboo is caused by permanent exposure to sun, rain and wind. In the most extreme case, this exposure can shorten the durability and lifespan of your bamboo materials.
Bamboo Renovator not only restores the natural color, but also helps protect it from future aging. This stain has a matte appearance that emphasizes the natural yellow color of bamboo.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Make sure the bamboo surface is clean, dry and grease-free before applying Bamboo Renovator. Open the can and stir well before use. Then you can apply the Bamboo Renovator with a flat brush, such as our Disposable Brush. We recommend applying 2-3 coats for optimal protection. You cannot apply the product at temperatures below 10°C and/or relative humidity higher than 85%.
Store Bamboo Renovator in a cool, frost-free place and out of reach of children. To give your bamboo products long-term protection against aging, we recommend applying a new coat of Bamboo Renovator annually.
After application Bamboo Renovator is dust-dry after approx. 15 minutes, thumbsolid after approx. 45 minutes and recoatable after approx. 16 hours.
Zorg ervoor dat het bamboe oppervlak schoon, droog en vetvrij is voordat je de Bamboo Renovator aanbrengt. Open het blik en roer goed voor gebruik. Vervolgens kan je de Bamboo Renovator aanbrengen met een platte kwast, zoals onze Wegwerpkwast. We adviseren om 2 à 3 lagen aan te brengen voor een optimale bescherming. Het product kan je niet verwerken bij een temperatuur lager dan 10 °C en/of een relatieve vochtigheid hoger dan 85%.
Bewaar de Bamboo Renovator op een koele, vorstvrije plek en buiten bereik van kinderen. Om je bamboe producten langdurig te beschermen tegen veroudering, adviseren wij jaarlijks een nieuwe laag Bamboo Renovator aan te brengen.
Na toepassing is Bamboo Renovator stofdroog na ca. 15 minuten, duimvast na ca. 45 minuten en overschilderbaar na ca. 16 uur

With photosynthesis, bamboo extracts CO2 from the air and releases oxygen. Bamboo produces about 40% more oxygen than wood and absorbs up to 35% more CO2 than wood. That makes bamboo better for CO2 offsetting than wood.
Bamboo & Environment
The use of bamboo greatly reduces the greenhouse effect and climate change. Bamboo absorbs greenhouse gases and releases 35% more oxygen into the atmosphere than an equivalent species of hardwood. This is due to its high growth rate and photosynthesis. Climate change has been an issue for several years, which is why bamboo could be included as a certified hardwood. Bamboo is also suitable for biomass production because it gives the second highest biomass on earth.
Bamboo & Cracks
A natural characteristic of bamboo is that cracks may appear vertically, this cannot be prevented. These are caused by differences in climate and humidity.
If you treat the bamboo poles with an oil or lacquer, the number of cracks will be less than if you do not apply a protective layer. But unfortunately this cannot be prevented 100%. The cracks can expand and shrink depending on the climate.
Protect the forest: build with bamboo
Every year more than 13 million hectares of forest are cut down.That's 1140 soccer fields every hour. Of course forests are planted, but the annual net loss of forest is over 7 million hectares, which is more than twice the area of Belgium. If those forests were not cut down, up to a quarter less CO2 would be released into the air.
