INSTALLATION
To enjoy the fence as long as possible, it is important that it is mounted properly. It is important to avoid direct contact with the ground. We recommend that Giant fences just barely touch the ground so that they do not stand in water for long periods of time. After all, this can cause discolouration and mould over time.This Giant fence should be placed between two hardwood posts, make sure these posts are firmly fixed and use our stainless steel Mounting Set to mount the fences between the posts. To hide the hardwood posts, you can cover them with our semi-circular bamboo posts. You can attach these to the hardwood posts by means of a screw. To prevent cracks, we recommend drilling first here too.
CUSTOMISE BAMBOO FENCES
Do you need a size other than our standard size? Fortunately, our Giant fences are easy to customise. The width of the Giant screen can be adjusted by cutting the cross slats to the desired size. When doing so, always replace the outer post of the fence.To adjust the height of the Giant fence, you can shorten it by sawing it. This can only be done from the bottom of the fence. This is because the top of the fence is closed. When sawing, use a saw blade with fine teeth (a Japanese saw). Before sawing, tape the bamboo poles in the area you are going to cut with strong tape to avoid splintering. Saw calmly and preferably by hand.
