For the 3rd edition of the Subaru Beach Battle on the beach of Wijk aan Zee, we have built a special start-finish arch made of bamboo. This finish arch, which can also be used as an honor arch or entrance arch, is made of South American Guadua bamboo poles.
The finish arch measures a total of 8 x 5 meters, of which the passage itself is 5.6 meters wide and 3.9 meters high. The bamboo finish arch also has special sliding suspension points for a race clock. Astana rider Lars Boom crossed the bamboo finish line first, writing the 3rd edition of the Subaru Beach Battle in his name.
