Our Bamboo Panel Light Caramel is available in various thicknesses. The top and bottom layers of the Bamboo Panel Light Caramel are vertically pressed. These slabs are made of Moso bamboo. The bamboo panels are of high quality and have the best price-quality ratio in the European market.

WORKING WITH BAMBOO PANELS
A Bamboo Panel Light Caramel is an eco-friendly and sustainable building material. Moreover, bamboo panel material has a beautiful natural look. It can be processed and treated with the same tools, glues, lacquers and oils used for wooden panels.
The inner layers of solid bamboo panels consist of several bamboo strips, so small gaps may sometimes be visible. This is done to optimise the stability of the panels. These gaps can be filled when finishing the panel.
Semi-finished and finished Bamboo Panel Light Caramel can be glued with a waterproof D3 glue for interior applications.
Although the hardness of our Bamboo Panel Light Caramel is greater than oak, the bamboo panels are easy to work with. In doing so, make sure you work with sharp tools, as the material is hard.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANINGThe color of untreated pressed bamboo changes under the influence of UV radiation. The caramel color can therefore become slightly lighter over time. We recommend to treat the Bamboo Panel Light Caramel with our Bamboo Topcoat. This is a specially developed bamboo lacquer that provides optimal protection against wear, stains and discoloration. Bamboo Topcoat is water-based. It gives no color difference, but a beautiful silky shine.
If you use furniture oil, apply it thinly. Bamboo has a dense surface and is less likely to absorb oil. Applying oil too thickly can lead to gloss differences and long drying times.
Our Bamboo Panels are not intended for long exposure to water and moisture. If you do want to use the Bamboo Panel Light Caramel in a humid environment, such as a bathroom, we recommend treating them with our Bamboo Topcoat. The Bamboo Panel Light Caramel should never be in direct contact with water.
The lifespan of our panels is based on use in a non-humid environment.

With photosynthesis, bamboo extracts CO2 from the air and releases oxygen. Bamboo produces about 40% more oxygen than wood and absorbs up to 35% more CO2 than wood. That makes bamboo better for CO2 offsetting than wood.
Bamboo & Environment
The use of bamboo greatly reduces the greenhouse effect and climate change. Bamboo absorbs greenhouse gases and releases 35% more oxygen into the atmosphere than an equivalent species of hardwood. This is due to its high growth rate and photosynthesis. Climate change has been an issue for several years, which is why bamboo could be included as a certified hardwood. Bamboo is also suitable for biomass production because it gives the second highest biomass on earth.
Bamboo & Cracks
A natural characteristic of bamboo is that cracks may appear vertically, this cannot be prevented. These are caused by differences in climate and humidity.
If you treat the bamboo poles with an oil or lacquer, the number of cracks will be less than if you do not apply a protective layer. But unfortunately this cannot be prevented 100%. The cracks can expand and shrink depending on the climate.
Protect the forest: build with bamboo
Every year more than 13 million hectares of forest are cut down.That's 1140 soccer fields every hour. Of course forests are planted, but the annual net loss of forest is over 7 million hectares, which is more than twice the area of Belgium. If those forests were not cut down, up to a quarter less CO2 would be released into the air.
