Our updated Bamboo Booster has a new formula. This oil adheres better and is less sticky. As a result, the oil absorbs faster and provides better protection. This also results in less color variation.

If you want to restore color to graying bamboo, we recommend using our Bamboo Renovator or Black Bamboo Renovator.

Bamboo Booster is a maintenance oil made from natural products. As a base we use linseed oil. This has been used for centuries as a reliable, nourishing and protective maintenance oil for natural materials, such as bamboo.

Bamboo Booster gives your bamboo poles, bamboo mats and bamboo fences good protection. It also provides a deep color and a high-gloss finish. By using this oil, the beautiful natural colors of bamboo come into their own.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Make sure the bamboo surface is clean, dry and grease-free before applying Bamboo Booster. You can easily apply Bamboo Booster with our Maintenance Wipes or possibly another, lint-free cloth. Apply a thin layer and, after ten minutes, wipe off the excess oil with a clean cloth. Do not throw the used cloths in a corner, but rinse the cloth and hang it out to dry. This natural oil may scalding and then ignite in special cases. Do not process the product at temperatures below 10°C and/or relative humidity higher than 85%.

Store Bamboo Booster in a cool, frost-free place and out of reach of children. To give your bamboo products long-term protection against weathering and discoloration, we recommend applying a new coat of Bamboo Booster every three months.

Bamboo Booster remains slightly sticky due to the linseed oil. Therefore, Bamboo Booster is not suitable for bamboo furniture.

Bamboo Benefits

With photosynthesis, bamboo extracts CO2 from the air and releases oxygen. Bamboo produces about 40% more oxygen than wood and absorbs up to 35% more CO2 than wood. That makes bamboo better for CO2 offsetting than wood.

More about Bamboo

Bamboo & Environment

The use of bamboo greatly reduces the greenhouse effect and climate change. Bamboo absorbs greenhouse gases and releases 35% more oxygen into the atmosphere than an equivalent species of hardwood. This is due to its high growth rate and photosynthesis. Climate change has been an issue for several years, which is why bamboo could be included as a certified hardwood. Bamboo is also suitable for biomass production because it gives the second highest biomass on earth.
