Our bamboo slat screens are friendly priced, lightweight and easy to attach to a wall or existing fence. The slat screens are made of bamboo slats and by cross slats on the back of the fence parts you can easily screw them against an existing bamboo fence or wall.
Each bamboo slat is unique and has color differences, variations in the width of our slats is normal with this natural product.
For these screens, natural bamboo slats averaging 3-5 cm wide are mounted on horizontal slats. This makes it a sturdy whole. The decorative palm rope provides a playful look. All our bamboo slat screens are handmade in Indonesia.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANINGAfter installing the screens, you can apply our Bamboe Protector, a specially developed colourless/transparent stain that protects the bamboo from tarnishing and discolouration.
Outdoors, bamboo will age and discolour, just like any natural material. We therefore recommend treating bamboo annually, preferably in spring, with our Bamboe Renovator, a specially developed stain that protects the bamboo and restores its colour. Bamboe Renovator is easy to apply to cleaned bamboo using a brush. When doing so, use thin layers and spread the Bamboe Renovator well.
For cleaning bamboo, you can use our Bamboe Cleaner. In case of persistent dirt / deposits, bamboo can also be sprayed with a high-pressure cleaner. But at a suitable distance to avoid damage.
LOOKING FOR A SHINY RESULT An alternative maintenance product is also available. That is Bamboe Booster. Bamboe Booster is a natural oil that can easily be applied with a cloth. With this oil, you get a nice shiny result. The oil protects and nourishes the bamboo, but does not slow down the process of discolouration. Bamboe Booster can be applied several times a year for optimal results. The oil can only not be combined with our Bamboe Protector and Bamboe Renovator stain.

With photosynthesis, bamboo extracts CO2 from the air and releases oxygen. Bamboo produces about 40% more oxygen than wood and absorbs up to 35% more CO2 than wood. That makes bamboo better for CO2 offsetting than wood.
Bamboo & Environment
The use of bamboo greatly reduces the greenhouse effect and climate change. Bamboo absorbs greenhouse gases and releases 35% more oxygen into the atmosphere than an equivalent species of hardwood. This is due to its high growth rate and photosynthesis. Climate change has been an issue for several years, which is why bamboo could be included as a certified hardwood. Bamboo is also suitable for biomass production because it gives the second highest biomass on earth.
Bamboo & Cracks
A natural characteristic of bamboo is that cracks may appear vertically, this cannot be prevented. These are caused by differences in climate and humidity.
If you treat the bamboo poles with an oil or lacquer, the number of cracks will be less than if you do not apply a protective layer. But unfortunately this cannot be prevented 100%. The cracks can expand and shrink depending on the climate.
Protect the forest: build with bamboo
Every year more than 13 million hectares of forest are cut down.That's 1140 soccer fields every hour. Of course forests are planted, but the annual net loss of forest is over 7 million hectares, which is more than twice the area of Belgium. If those forests were not cut down, up to a quarter less CO2 would be released into the air.
