Bamboo Import Europe BV may process personal data about you, because you use Bamboo Import Europe BV's services, and/or because you provide it to Bamboo Import Europe BV yourself when filling in a contact form on the website. Bamboo Import Europe BV may process the following personal data:

• Payment and invoice data - if you enter into an agreement with us, we need your bank details for financial processing.
• Website data - such as IP address, traffic and location data and information about the use of our website(s).

FOR WHAT PURPOSES DO WE COLLECT YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

Bamboo Import Europe BV uses obtained personal data primarily for the performance of the agreement we conclude with the customer in the context of invoicing and for internal administration. More specifically, we ask you to share your personal data with us for the following purposes: 

• For the purpose of entering into, maintaining and improving the contractual relationship with its (potential) customers, or for improving the services and products.
• For the application and performance of legal obligations.

Bamboo Import Europe BV may send newsletters by e-mail. If you no longer wish to receive a newsletter, you can use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the newsletter.

Personal data will not be used for purposes other than those described above.

WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

Bamboo Import Europe BV does not provide your personal data to third parties ('recipients' within the meaning of the privacy legislation), unless this is necessary for the proper execution of the purposes described in this Privacy and Cookie Statement, when it is required by law or when you have given your consent. The third parties to whom the personal data are made available are obliged to treat your personal data confidentially. Third parties engaged by us who offer services as independent processors are themselves responsible for the (further) processing of your personal data in compliance with the applicable privacy legislation. One such party is the e-commerce platform of Shopify International Limited ('Shopify') used by us. Your personal data will be used by Shopify, inter alia, to process transactions when you make a purchase from us and for fraud prevention purposes. • Suppliers (e.g. software suppliers, bailiffs, logistics service providers, accountants etc.);
• Bamboo Import Europe BV affiliated companies and to legal successor(s) in case Bamboo Import Europe BV is acquired by or merges with another company, e.g. due to bankruptcy and also with third parties involved in such proposed or actual business transaction;
• Courts and government agencies;
• Other parties, such as regulators and other authorities if required by law or with your consent.

For the purpose of providing services, we may transfer personal data to a recipient in a country outside the European Economic Area that provides a lower level of protection of personal data than European legislation. Bamboo Import Europe BV does not use automated decision-making within the meaning of Art. 22 AVG.

To avoid providing information to the wrong person, we may ask for additional information to verify your identity. In principle, Bamboo Import Europe BV will inform you no later than one month after receiving your request whether Bamboo Import Europe BV can comply with your request. This period can be extended by two months in specific cases, e.g. in case of a complex request. Bamboo Import Europe BV will inform you about such an extension at the latest within one month of receiving your request. Pursuant to privacy legislation, Bamboo Import Europe BV may refuse your request under certain circumstances. If this is the case, Bamboo Import Europe BV will explain why.
