For this year's fifteenth edition of the Masters of LXRY at the Amsterdam RAI, formerly the Millionaire Fair, Bamboo Import Europe had the opportunity to build a unique black bamboo exhibition stand. During the opening night on 8 December 2016, the reactions among the more than 7,500 guests present were overwhelming!

When we were asked by the organisation to realise the design for "The Restaurant", we were immediately enthusiastic. For our company, it was the perfect opportunity to introduce a broad audience to our bamboo products. Because bamboo is often associated with purely decorative applications, many people are not aware that bamboo can also be used in a wide range of applications. strong and versatile construction material.

The Bamboo Import construction team led by construction specialist Robert Bakker worked day and night for a week and a half on the construction and development of the stand. The entire construction was first prebuilt in our warehouse in Beverwijk.

Because it was a unique design, all bamboo poles were cut to size. The Indonesian natural black bamboo species was used for this. Gigantochloa atroviolacea used, which is also available as standard in our range, and is better known as Java Black.

Start of construction.

The construction of the 18 x 14 m bamboo exhibition stand took less than one day. Other stand-builders regularly looked on in amazement during the rapid construction work.

For the dressing, furnishing and decorating of the bamboo exhibition stand we worked together with Flora Expo and CRAVT Original.

The result was worth it!

"The Restaurant was a place where visitors could relax and enjoy a good glass of wine and one of the many culinary delights served during the Masters of LXRY anniversary event. Top chef Gerrit Greveling and David Crouwel were deployed for this.

Situated next to luxury brands such as Gassan Diamonds, Jaguar/Land Rover, Louwman Exclusive (McLaren, Lexus, Masserati, Morgan) and CRAVT Original, "The Restaurant" was one of the eye-catchers at the fair.
