For the 3rd edition of the Subaru Beach Battle at the beach of Wijk aan Zee, we have built a special bamboo start-finish arch this year. This finish arch, which can also be used as an honour arch or entrance arch, is made of South American Guadua bamboo poles.

The finish arch measures 8 x 5 m in total, the passage itself being 5.6 wide and 3.9 m high. The bamboo finish arch also has special sliding suspension points for a race clock. Astana rider Lars Boom was the first to cross the bamboo finish line and thus won the 3rd edition of the Subaru Beach Battle.
