Description
General Bamboo Screen Half Round Black
A Bamboo Fence Half Round Black made of half round bamboo poles is cheaper, lighter and easier to install than a standard bamboo garden fence. We have specially developed the half-round bamboo fence sections so that they can be quickly and easily screwed to a flat wall and are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Half round black bamboo fences are ideal to renovate an outdated fence at an affordable price.
For the construction, black halved bamboo poles with an average width of 6-8 cm are mounted on sturdy bamboo laths, making it a strong whole. A lot of attention is also paid to the finishing, so all screens are treated with a basic varnish layer and the decorative palm rope provides a playful look. All our halved black bamboo fence parts are handmade in Indonesia.
More information about the properties of a halved bamboo fence and how they can be attached can be found in the description of each product. If you have any questions or would like a quote, please do not hesitate to contact us. Of course you are always welcome to come and see the black bamboo fences and pick them up directly.
Mounting
We recommend placing halved bamboo screens at least 2 cm off the ground so that they do not remain in direct contact with wet soil, as this can cause discolouration over time. You can, for example, use an edge board during installation on which the bamboo screen can rest.
To attach a halved bamboo garden screen to a wooden fence or wall Drill 4 mm holes through the horizontal bamboo slats that run through the screen. Do this every two bamboo poles in a horizontal direction and screw the bamboo fence in place with 4 x 40 mm screws. Attention, fixed is fixed! For maximum stability, screw the bamboo fence sections to the top, middle and bottom.
Tailor-made
- A big advantage of bamboo is that it is an easy material to work with. You can shorten the width of a halved bamboo garden fence by cutting the horizontal bamboo slats to the desired width. Make sure that before sawing through the bamboo slats, you first loosen the black palm rope so that you can then tie it back together again.
- To adjust the height of the bamboo fence, you can cut the half bamboo poles at the bottom and / or top. Preferably use a saw blade with fine teeth and tape the halved bamboo poles with strong tape to prevent the bamboo from fraying.
Maintenance
In outdoor use bamboo will start to grey. If you want to prevent this, we advise to treat bamboo annually with Bamboo Protector, a specially developed UV-resistant stain that slows down the ageing process and thus increases the durability of the bamboo. You can apply this transparent bamboo stain immediately after installation.
Properties
- Each halved bamboo pole is unique, so colour differences in a bamboo fence are normal.
- The diameter of each halved bamboo pole in a fence can vary.
