The base consists of a galvanised steel frame and the sides are finished with planks of Azobe hardwood. The front and back of this garden door are lined with halved bamboo poles from Indonesia averaging 6-8 cm wide and the total thickness of the gate is about 10 cm.

The gate comes with the fixing materials, a stainless steel door lock with key and a door handle. You can easily install the bamboo gate door yourself by hanging it between 2 hardwood garden posts. These hardwood posts are not included with the gate door, but you can easily reorder them.

When ordering, choose the correct direction of rotation. The rotation direction is determined from your own garden, looking at the place where the gate should be.

Bamboo Benefits

With photosynthesis, bamboo extracts CO2 from the air and releases oxygen. Bamboo produces about 40% more oxygen than wood and absorbs up to 35% more CO2 than wood. That makes bamboo better for CO2 offsetting than wood.

More about Bamboo

Bamboo & Environment

The use of bamboo greatly reduces the greenhouse effect and climate change. Bamboo absorbs greenhouse gases and releases 35% more oxygen into the atmosphere than an equivalent species of hardwood. This is due to its high growth rate and photosynthesis. Climate change has been an issue for several years, which is why bamboo could be included as a certified hardwood. Bamboo is also suitable for biomass production because it gives the second highest biomass on earth.
