Are you looking to renovate or replace a kitchen and, in addition to style and comfort, you also value sustainability? Then consider a bamboo kitchen. We are happy to provide you with kitchen inspiration, because bamboo can be used to create dream kitchens! Read more in this blog.
Bamboo is a super strong material and grows an average of 5 to 100 cm per day, depending on the species. After about 5 years, bamboo is ready to be harvested; it is then harder than oak and some tropical hardwood species, which must grow for at least 100 years. New shoots then grow naturally from the bamboo's existing roots. Not surprisingly, this versatile raw material is applied in a variety of (sustainable) applications. From super-soft T-shirts, durable toilet paper and lightweight toothbrushes to very strong panels for building modern kitchens.
From plant to kitchen
Straight strips are cut from the (round) bamboo poles, which are glued together horizontally or vertically in several layers after processing. The more layers, the stronger and more stable the panel material. These different layers also give the panels a unique look.
Kitchen Ideas: Bamboo is easy to customize
From the fronts of kitchen cabinets to the countertop, bamboo gives a kitchen an elegant, natural look. Do you go all out with the design by making all of your kitchen cabinetry out of bamboo? Or do you take a more subtle approach by incorporating sophisticated bamboo details into the design of a modern kitchen? Bamboo is an all-rounder. For example, combine the natural look of bamboo with timeless white, stylish black, sleek stainless steel, bold stones, or trendy colors and pastels.
