Bamboo poles Half-round Natural

The Bamboo Pole Half-round Natural is made of the Indonesian bamboo species Tali. The bamboo poles are available in various diameters and are supplied untreated. The half-round poles are perfect for cladding walls and ceilings, as they are nice and flat at the back, weigh less and take up less space than full bamboo poles.

WORKING WITH BAMBOO
Half-round bamboo poles can be connected in many different ways. Most techniques use rope and/or threaded ends. But more advanced methods, such as the fish-mouth joint or peg-and-hole joint, are also possible. Of course, you can also screw bamboo together. Here we recommend always pre-drilling to minimise the risk of cracks. Cutting bamboo is best done with a Japanese saw. This special bamboo saw has small, sharp teeth which allow you to cut easily, quickly and precisely.

Half-round bamboo poles are also used when installing Giant Bamboo Garden Fences to "hide" the wooden garden poles. These wooden garden posts are needed for the strength of the garden fence. By cladding the garden posts with semicircular posts, the bamboo fence then appears to consist of one whole.

Each bamboo pole is unique. Colour differences and variations in the width of the bamboo poles are normal for this natural product. Another natural characteristic of bamboo poles is that they are thicker at the base than at the top. The gradient of the bamboo canes depends on the bamboo species and the length of the cane. Maintenance and Cleaning

After installing the Bamboo Pole Half Round Natural, you can apply our Bamboo Protector. A specially developed colorless/transparent stain that protects the bamboo from tarnish and discoloration.

With outdoor use, bamboo graying and discoloration, just like any natural material. We therefore recommend to treat bamboo annually, preferably in spring, with our
Bamboo Renovator, a specially developed stain that protects the bamboo and restores the color.

Bamboo Renovator is easy to apply to cleaned bamboo using a brush. When doing so, use thin layers and spread Bamboo Renovator well.

For cleaning bamboo you can use our
Bamboo Cleaner. Possibly with stubborn dirt / deposits bamboo can also be sprayed off with a high pressure cleaner. But at an appropriate distance to avoid damage.

A SHINY RESULT

There is also an alternative maintenance product available. That is Bamboo Booster. Bamboo Booster is a natural oil that can easily be applied with a cloth. With this Booster oil you get a beautiful shiny result. The Booster oil protects and nourishes the bamboo, but does not slow down the process of discoloration.

Bamboo Booster can be applied several times a year for optimal results. The oil can only not be combined with our Bamboo Protector and Bamboo Renovator stain.
