Our Bamboo Beam Caramel is constructed from bamboo strips that are waterproof glued longitudinally. The layered construction ensures high stability and a unique appearance. Two sides have a "horizontally pressed" appearance and two sides have a "vertically pressed" appearance. These beams are made of Moso bamboo.
Bamboo Beams Caramel are ideal for indoor structural applications due to their high bending strength, tensile strength, rigidity and hardness.
WORKING WITH BAMBOO BEAMS
Unlike timber, Bamboo Beams Caramel are very regular in terms of dimensions and construction. In addition, they have high stability. Moreover, bamboo has no knots or flowing out resins, making them very easy to work with.
Our Bamboo Beams Caramel are also easy to work with. Sawing, milling, sanding and gluing are no problem at all. Always use sharp tools, as the material is hard.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
The color of untreated pressed bamboo changes under the influence of UV radiation. The caramel color can therefore become slightly lighter over time. We recommend the Bamboo Beam Caramel to treat with our Bamboo Topcoat. This is a specially developed bamboo lacquer that provides optimal protection against wear, stains and discoloration. The Bamboo Topcoat is water-based. It gives no color difference, but a beautiful silky shine. If you want to use furniture oil, apply it thinly. Bamboo has a dense surface and absorbs oil less quickly. Applying oil too thickly can lead to gloss differences and long drying times. Our Bamboo Bar Caramel is not intended for long exposure to water and moisture. If you do want to use our Bamboo Beam Caramel in a humid environment, such as a bathroom, we recommend treating it with our Bamboo Topcoat. Never let the Bamboo Beam Caramel come into direct contact with water. The lifespan of our Bamboo Balk Caramel is based on use in a non-humid environment.

Bamboo Benefits
With photosynthesis, bamboo extracts CO2 from the air and releases oxygen. Bamboo produces about 40% more oxygen than wood and absorbs up to 35% more CO2 than wood. That makes bamboo better for CO2 offsetting than wood.
